Battery systems
Electrical energy storage is an indispensable capability of all autonomous power supply systems subject to continuous energy demand. Battery systems are therefore the key to zero-emission, energy-efficient mobility.
Battery casing
The battery casing is designed to protect an electric-vehicle battery. It must withstand lateral collisions, ground contact, or potential impact of hard objects from below. Despite these requirements, component weight and size should be minimized to accommodate larger batteries, thus extending the vehicle's operating range.

Rotor
The rotor is the rotating part of an electric motor. With regard to electrical machines, the term 'rotor' refers to their entire rotating portion.

Stator
The stator is the fixed, stationary part of a machine, especially of one comprising a rotor. The stator often constitutes the casing and consists of laminated steel. It serves as the common core for the induction coils in this context.
